Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone receive Anti-Cheat and bug fixes

Developers Activision and Sledgehammer games are spoiling the players with updates and patches. They released three patches in the past week to fix the poorly made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Sledgehammer and Treyarch have posted patch notes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone’s latest patch, released on February 21st, which contains adjustments to the Ricochet Anti-Cheat after numerous player complaints.

The Ricochet Anti-Cheat has been used in all Call of Duty titles since 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. Since then, it has been the law keeper in-game to ensure no player uses cheats or exploits.

The developers have acknowledged the rise in the number of reports of cheating in recent times. This mainly pertains to limited-time perks like Super Speed, which can be easily converted to an exploit.

As a result, as of February 21^st, the developers have temporarily disabled Super Speed. They also confirmed that over 6000 accounts have been banned for hacking and cheating in the four days between February 16^th and 20^th.

The February 21^st update also includes changes to other aspects of the gameplay. One of the most significant changes is the increment in the size of the effective area for the famous Advanced UAV ability.

This puts practically the entire map in view for the player using it. Shock sticks are also buffed, making them more potent. There are also changes in Warzone to the Skill Rating gain to maintain this mode’s “competitive integrity” by discouraging SR gains by “tapping” downed enemies.

Players who were getting disarmed in Team Gun Game will see this issue be resolved now. Weapon adjustments were made to the MTZ 556 Assault Rifle, the Haymaker Shotgun, the Longbow Sniper, and the TYR Handgun.
