Elden Ring is a huge game with tons of content in it to keep players busy for a long time. The completion time for the game is variable for every player but we have a rough idea of how long the game might take to complete, depending on some factors.
The game is brimming with deadly bosses, huge areas to explore, and hidden secrets. If you want to explore all parts of the Lands Between, then it will take a long time to explore every inch of the Lands. Anyway, whether you just want to play the main story, or explore The Lands Between fully, we’ve got you covered.
In general, it takes 40 to 50 hours of playtime to complete Elden Ring’s main storyline. For exploring The Lands Between, completing all the side quests, and defeating all the optional bosses, the game can take around 70+ hours for 100% completion.
These aren’t definite completion times and they’ll differ from player to player but this is an estimate. During the 2022 Taipei Games Show, Yasuhiro Kitao of FromSoftware said that an average playthrough of Elden Ring will take around 30 hours. The idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours,” he explained.

This game has a lot of content so doing all the above things will make your playthrough much much longer. The game can take above 100 hours to complete due to the amount of content there is.
4. Difficulty
There’s no predetermined difficulty level for Elden Ring. If you’re familiar with soulsborne games, then you’ll know that they don’t have any difficulty levels and Elden Ring isn’t any different. The difficulty will be similar to that of Dark Souls.
The game is hard but not as grueling as Dark Souls. You can escape any boss by traveling far away from it as the game is open-world and then come back stronger than ever. Your skill and build does matter but if you can read the bosses and observe how they move and attack, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to beat the game.
5. All endings
Here’s a list of all the endings that you’ll get depending on the choices that you’ve made throughout the story:
1. The Age of Fracture – The Elden Lord Ending
2. The Age of Stars – Ranni’s Ending

4. The Age of Duskborn – Fia’s Ending
5. Lord of the Frenzied Flame – Three Fingers Ending
6. Blessing of Despair – The Dung Eater’s Ending
6. Can Elden Ring be beaten in 2 hours?
Elden Ring can indeed be beaten in just over 2 hours. A speedrunner called niko bellic managed to complete the game without dying in two and a half hours. Obviously they didn’t play the whole game and had to skip non-essential bosses to successfully complete the game in that time.
When it comes to speedrunning a game, they get creative with their ways of completing the game and it’s no different when it comes to Elden Ring. There are always new speedrunners emerging every day, setting new records. Check out niko bellic’s speedrun video below:
7. Can Elden Ring be 100% completed on the first playthrough?
Yasuhiro Kitao, one of Elden Ring’s producers, confirmed that the game cannot be completed 100% in just one playthrough. Technically, it’s impossible to reach 100 percent due to the fact that there are branching points near the end, but you can certainly get pretty close.”, he stated.
Since the game has multiple endings, just like other FromSoftware games, the game cannot be 100% completed in one playthrough but players can get close to 100% in just one playthrough.
8. Is Elden Ring the hardest Souls game?
Elden Ring is undoubtedly the biggest game from developers FromSoftware. The game is open-world and it provides players with more options while dealing with harder bosses in order to make them easier.
According to various players, Elden Ring is considerably easier than other soulsborne titles. The majority of the players agree that, unlike Dark Souls, Elden Ring feels much more approachable than other souls games. While Elden Ring isn’t a very easy game, it’s definitely the easier soulsborne title.
9. About Elden Ring
