Dexter: New Blood Season 1 Episode 10 Speculation
Dexter and Harrison return home to see their cabin burnt to ashes, with police already present at the scene. Thankfully, Dexter had already told Angela that he was canceling plans with her to go see the Blood Moon and spend more time with his son. Angela’s suspicions are only going to continue to grow, especially after the vet told her Jim sourced some ketamine for his goat.
Angela receives a package with Matt’s titanium rod and a letter that said: “Jim Lindsay killed Matt Caldwell.” It’s likely that this letter is Kurt’s final blow, in addition to burning down Dexter’s cabin of course. Could someone else have sent this letter? Angela’s suspicions have solid ground now and she will continue to dig into Dexter’s past and his recent involvements. What will she discover on the recording equipment she found in Molly’s room?
How will Harrison react to the recent events he witnessed? He feels overwhelmed when he sees Dexter chopping up Kurt’s body. Is Harrison going to be able to confront this truth about his only surviving parent? Dexter: New Blood Season 1 Episode 9 Recap
The episode begins with Dexter and Harrison sitting by the fire. Dexter tells him about his dark passenger and the ‘code.’ He tells him the story of Mr. Wiggles and how he ‘confronted’ him to make sure he never hurt anyone again. He doesn’t tell Harrison that he killed his victims just yet. Harrison feels more connected to his father after learning that he too, witnessed his mother’s murder as a child.
Angela continues to look into the Bay Harbor Butcher and finds similarities in the MO with the corpse of the drug supplier. The next morning, Dexter and Harrison go to Angela’s to exchange presents. Kurt shows up and offers them a ‘peace offering.’ Dexter and Harrison leave in a rush as they try to figure out their next move.
They sneak into Kurt’s cabin and discover the preserved bodies of all the women he murdered over the years, including Molly. Harrison finally figures out that Dexter killed his victims too. Dexter embraces him and tells him about how he killed the Trinity killer to avenge Rita’s death. Kurt sets Dexter’s cabin on fire, hoping he’d have the chance to shoot him when he rushes out. However, he discovers Harrison and Dexter on the camera through his alarm system.
He rushes back and tries to plan his escape. At his house, Dexter injects him and takes him back to the area he’d stored his ‘trophies.’ He confronts Kurt about what he did to those women and kills him as Harrison watches. Harrison has a flashback of Rita’s death as he watches the blood flow. Harrison and Dexter get rid of Kurt’s body in the incinerator.
