Intel’s Core i9-13900K CPU Tested on CPU-Z Validator with DDR4 Memory

The Raptor Lake series by Intel features high-end CPUs with top specs, promising powerful performance, and overclocking. The flagship Core i9-13900K model features 24 Cores, 32 Threads, and a 68 MB cache. So far, it has shown excellent results in alleged benchmark tests.

Twitter user @TUM_APISAK revealed a CPU-Z benchmark for an alleged engineering sample of Intel’s Core i9-13900K CPU with DDR4 memory type.

The i9-13900K is a K-series processor with a core configuration of 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores. Its maximum TDP is 125W, similar to its Alder Lake predecessor, the i9-12900K.

CPU-Z software did not identify the CPU model, but such specs only point to the i9-13900K. The maximum CPU clock was reported to be 4.987 GHz and 2.993 GHz for Performance and Efficient cores, respectively.

This is the first test on a platform based on the Z690 motherboard and DDR4. The software reported a 1330 MHz clock speed and a very slow DDR4-2660 memory; the memory specs used are not mentioned.

The CPU scored 846 points in single-thread and 13054 points in the multi-thread test. It would be the highest in single-core rankings on the website. Meanwhile, the i9-12900K had scored 834 points in the single-thread test.

In the multi-thread test, the 19-13900K showed a 15% gain over the i9-12900K(11719 points) and a 10% gain over AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X(11841 points).

The Core i9-13900K sample is slightly behind the Threadripper 2970WX with 24 Cores which has 14022 points in the multi-thread test.

Compared to a leaked Core i9-13900K ES3 benchmark, the CPU matches a 5.2 GHz all-core OC configuration.
