First Order is Basim’s first main mission where he will be tasked with carrying out his first official assassination. His target is the infamous Order member Al-Ghul or ‘The Slaver’. In the process of eliminating him, Basim has to look for distractions.
Al-Ghul can be found somewhere inside the Caravanserai, a vast compound in the desert. Players will have to infiltrate the Caravanserai and create a distraction by– stealing a Caravan merchant’s goods back or helping migrant workers get back their freedom. At last, Al-Ghul will be forced to show himself, leaving him vulnerable to Basim’s assassination attack.
1. Infiltrate the Caravanserai
Follow Roshan as she takes you to a set of horses. Mount your horse, and let her lead the way.
Once you arrive at your destination, get down from your horse and follow Roshan to a small hill nearby. Here, she will give you the brief on Al-Ghul and suggest a few ways to take him down. Before you proceed any further, use Enkidu to scope out the area.
Basim will enter the Caravanserai using the secret entrance on the north wall. Dive into the river below and pass through the hole beneath the wall. Basim will then emerge inside the Caravanserai.
2. Exposing Al-Ghul
There are two ways in which you can expose Al-Ghul. You can help the merchant reclaim his goods and hence, use his help to lure out Al-Ghul. Alternatively, you can help migrant workers by dealing with their handler and liberating them.
I. Steal the Caravan merchant’s crate
If you choose this method to bring out Al-Ghul, Basim will offer to help the helpless merchant by stealing his goods for him. The merchant will then pay him back by creating a distraction and bringing him to Al-Ghul.
The merchant can be located just outside the main gate of the Caravanserai. Upon interacting with him, Basim will get to know that he is waiting as his goods get inspected.
After Basim offers to help the merchant, he will enter the Caravanserai using the secret entrance. After emerging inside the Caravanserai, take down the guard standing by the railing above. Once the path is clear, stealthily make your way in the crowd and avoid detection.
The Caravan merchant’s goods are in the southwest corner of the compound. You will find the crate of spices and silks suspended in the air.
Take out the guards standing over the merchant’s crate.
Once the path is clear, head inside and pick up the goods crate. You can now exit the area and make your way back to the merchant.
Hand over the merchant’s crate. He will tell you to follow him inside the Caravanserai so mix in with the merchants’ group and follow them. They will proceed to the center of the Caravanserai where you can spot Al-Ghul.
II. Liberate migrant workers
This method involves quite a bit of sneaking around. Here, you will help out a group of migrant workers by giving them back their freedom. This act of liberation will cause Al-Ghul to emerge onto his balcony.
Get inside the Caravanserai and look for a worried worker pacing back and forth in the north side of the plaza. Upon speaking to the man, he will explain how the group of workers need to be freed. After agreeing to help, Basim will be tasked with finding the workers’ handler.
Basim can talk to three people to discover the handler’s identity. However, only one can provide the right answer. The handler will be located on the southern side of the plaza.
Seek out the handler and interact with him. The handler will offer you a highly expensive deed in exchange for the slaves. Refuse his offer to receive a new objective– pickpocket the handler’s deed.
Follow the handler as he makes his way through the market. Wait for him to enter a group, blend in with the crowd, sneak up behind the handler and pickpocket the deed.
Go back to the worker and return the deed to liberate them. Basim will announce their newfound freedom which will force Al-Ghul out of hiding.
3. Killing Al Ghul
Regardless of whichever method you choose both of them will converge on the same thing– killing Al-Ghul. Whatever the distraction may be, Al-Ghul will step out on his balcony, unaware of the storm which is about to rain on him.
Once Al-Ghul comes out on his balcony, climb onto the roof overlooking it.
Perform an air assassination to finish off your first target.
4. Rewards for completing the First Order mission in AC Mirage
You will be rewarded with a new ability called Assassination’s Focus. It will allow Basim to perform multiple successive assassinations in a sequence.
If you are taking on a number of enemies, this ability can help you to a great extent.
5. About Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game is the thirteenth primary installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the successor to 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While its historical timeframe precedes that of Valhalla, its modern-day framing story succeeds Valhalla’s own.
Set in 9th-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age—in particular during the Anarchy at Samarra—the story follows Basim Ibn Ishaq (a character first introduced in Valhalla), a street thief who joins the Hidden Ones to fight for peace and liberty against the Order of the Ancients,[b] who desire peace through control. The main narrative focuses on Basim’s internal struggle between his duties as a Hidden One and his desire to uncover his mysterious past.
