New DC Promo Art Reveals Black Adam Battling Hawkman

In the recently revealed official DC film art, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is seen battling Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman. The art was shared by Dwayne Johnson himself.

The Rock has been associated with the role of Teth Adam or Black Adam for almost a decade now. With the upcoming Black Adam, the audience will be introduced to the titular antagonist or anti-hero. The film will also mark Johnson’s venture into the superhero genre.

Black Adam is one of the most powerful villains in the DC Universe, having fought both Shazam and Superman. The upcoming film is all set to focus on the darker side of the character.

Apart from Black Adam, the film will also introduce various other DC characters, including Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan’s Dr. Fate, and Hodge’s Hawkman. All of these DC characters are part of the Justice Society of America.

Ahead of Black Adam’s official trailer launch on June 8 , Johnson shared some promotional art for the film on social media. One of the images depict Black Adam flying at Hawkman, almost like a battle. It seems like the two will be engaged in a fight in the upcoming film.

Aldis Hodge, who plays Hawkman in the film is usually seen as a reincarnation of an Egyptian God as is known for his spiked mace and massive wings. In the comics, Black Adam and Hawkman know each other since the times of Ancient Egypt.

From what the artwork depicts, we can expect the two to clash with each other in ways more than one. The upcoming trailer might reveal more about the film.
