Capcom announces VR Mode for Resident Evil 4 on PS5, Releasing on Dec 8

Resident Evil 4 is described as one of the best survival horror games for PS2. The critically acclaimed title was also brought back by Capcom as a spectacular remake which was released earlier this year. According to reports, there’s an exciting DLC in store for PS5 users.

Resident Evil 4 will be getting a VR Mode exclusively for PlayStation 5 which will be available on December 8th. The immersive game will also feature 3D audio and intuitive controls to amplify the dreadful sense of threat and suspense in the classic horror title.

The trailer provides us a glimpse of the gory and intense action one can experience first-hand in the VR Mode of Resident Evil 4. A free standalone VR Mode demo for Resident Evil 4 will also be available on the launch day. Those who do not own the game can get a taste of how it plays out in VR.

Director of Resident Evil 4 VR Mode, Keisuke Yamakawa, explained how the PlayStation VR2 improves the player’s connection with the game. It is almost as if one is actually in Spain, with only one motive, to rescue the President’s daughter.

Resident Evil 4 Remake certainly exceeded expectations, even bagging a nomination for Game of the Year award. Even the Separate Ways DLC was well received by players but many were surprised to find Assignment: Ada missing from the DLC which was previously featured in the original game.
