Top 10 strongest Jinchuriki in Naruto, Ranked

Naruto is such a popular and legendary franchise that its name is synonymous with ninjas worldwide, and there isn’t a single nook or cranny left in the world where Naruto’s influence hasn’t permeated.

One of the reasons behind this is its extensive world that was slowly built over the years. Since its run ended, it has become the blueprint for many Shonen series.

In the first episode, we are introduced to the nine-tailed fox and witness how Naruto befriends him.

Just like him, there are other characters with these raging beasts known as Jinchuriki.

The strongest Jinchuriki in the realm of Naruto is Hagoromo Otsutsuki, aka the revered Sage of Six Paths, and the star of the show Naruto Uzamaki comes to a close second.

Here is a list of the 9 Tailed Beasts:

I. Shukaku: One-Tailed Beast, representing the Tanuki (raccoon dog).

II. Matatabi: Two-Tailed Beast, representing the Nekomata (two-tailed cat).

III. Isobu: Three-Tailed Beast, representing the Sanbi (three-tailed turtle).

Yugito Nii was the Jinchuriki of the Matatabi, a Two-Tailed Beast. Having access to matatabi’s fiery blue flames and unleashing destructive fire attacks deftly with precision and even breathing fire, how cool is that!?

While she didn’t have complete control over the beast, she had control over the transformation and amount of chakra she could draw in, so much so that even Killer B looked up to her.

She was able to create giant fireballs and grow her nails to long lethal claws coupled with her Taijustu for close-range combats, even against swordsmen.

Even though Hidan took her down, he commended her strength and control over her fiery beast.

9. Roshi

Roshi was a formidable ninja from Iwagakure, having the Son Goku, a four-tailed beast inside of him, granting him access to lava release and a dope power-up.

With Son Goku, Roshi’s physical strength and endurance would transcend. He could deliver kicks and physical attacks and throw powerful fists with greater force than an ordinary shinobi.

Coupled with his Tailed beast power, he could create and manipulate lava, producing volcanic eruptions, spewing molten rock, and engulfing his opponents in a torrent of scorching hot lava as he did with Gyuki.

This ability gave Roshi both offensive and destructive capabilities, being able to go against S-ranked criminals like Kisame of the Akatsuki on equal footing, making him a truly formidable match.

8. Gaara

Gaara was made the Jinchuriki of Shukaku, or the one-tailed beast, even before he was born and was feared and despised by the people of his village, Sunagakure. He later became Suna’s Fifth Kazekage.

What’s unique about Gaara is his control over sand, which would let him transform into his tailed beast, unlike other Jinchuriki who would use chakra to transform.

This ability was initially derived from his mother’s love and protection for him, which manifested as the power of Shukaku. Gaara could manipulate sand with such precision that it could be used both offensively and defensively.

For example, Gaara’s offensive sand-based techniques included the “Sand Coffin” and “Sand Burial.”

He could encase opponents in a rapidly forming cocoon of sand, immobilizing them and exerting immense pressure to crush them like mere candy.

With the “Sand Burial” technique, Gaara would cause the compressed sand to collapse violently, burying his opponents deep underground like a helpless pup.

7. Yagura Karatachi

Yagura, the former Mizukage Kirigakure, was the Jinchuriki of,  Isobu, the Three-Tailed Beast.

He stands out from the rest as he was able to tame his beast at a young age and could use its abilities to the maximum extent, something the Jinchuriki could only dream of.

His beast’s innate quality was Water manipulation, enabling him to create and control water with great proficiency, using it for both offensive and defensive purposes.

In addition, Isobu’s chakra granted Yagura with Isobu’s chakra with regenerative abilities at an accelerated rate, making him a very resilient opponent.

Yagura could produce water-based attacks like water bullets, torrents, tides, etc., allowing him to control the rules on the battlefield like a boss.

One of Yagura’s signature techniques was the “Tidal Wave.” He would use that to summon massive tidal waves to engulf his enemies, causing widespread devastation and despair.

6. Killer B

Killer B, aka Bee, is the Jinchuriki of the Gyuki, the Eight-Tailed Beast. He can also be considered another “perfect Jinchuriki.”

As he developed a unique relationship with Gyūki, enabling him to gain complete control over his beast’s chakra and fight alongside like partners, unlike his predecessors.

So much so that Minato Namikaze stated that B is stronger even without his Gyuki, let that sink in.

Guki possesses the ability to produce and control ink, and Killer B can shape it into various forms, such as octopuses or weapons, which he uses for offense, defense, and restraining opponents.

Killer B’s signature technique is the “Lariat,” a powerful close-range attack that allows him to deliver a devastating punch that can shatter defenses and inflict quite some hefty damage to the opponents.

5. Minato Namikaze

Minato Namikaze was Naruto’s father and the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure, also synonymous with the term “Yellow Flash,” notable for his for his exceptional speed.

Shortly before his death, Minato split the Nine-Tails with the Dead Demon Seal into Yin and Yang halves. Yin was inside himself, while the Yang half was inside his son Naruto.

He couldn’t truly wield the prowess of the tailed beast while alive, but when he was reincarnated during the 4th Great Ninja War, he was able to access the chakra of the Nine-Tails and mastered it.

Making him a perfect jinchuriki and the strongest character in the series.

4. Obito Uchiha

Obita Uchiha, aka Tobi, was used as a tool by Madara Uchiha and started the 4th Great Ninja War to become the Ten-Tails jinchuriki and cast Infinite Tsukuyomi on the entire world.

At the end of the war, he was able to become the Ten-Tails jinchuriki, making him monstrously strong, a literal beast himself.

Obito had access to the beast’s vast chakra reserves, which granted him heightened abilities, and he gained incredible regenerative power, strength, durability, destructive capabilities, etc, reigning chaos.

3. Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha became the vessel for the Ten-Tailed Beast after Obito and was significantly stronger.

Madara’s level-up was unfathomable and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. He was even able to fly and harness natural energy.

His strength and battle prowess reached zenith enabling him to react to the Flying Thunder God Technique. His regenerative abilities allowed him to overcome being bisected, leading him to proclaim his immortality.

He even attained the Truth-seeking balls, encircling him like he was some god. The only Shinobi capable of withstanding his devastation were those who were able to harness the power of the Eight Gates and the abilities of the Six Paths.

He was truly an abomination.

2. Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki was made into a Jinchuriki by his father shortly after he was born, although he only possessed the Yang half of Kurama.

He took several years to emerge as a perfect Jinchuriki with the help of Killer B in forming a bond with Kurama. Following the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto obtained the remaining half of the Nine-Tails, the Yin part, making him a formidable opponent.

Naruto also possesses the ability to enter Sage Mode, where he can harness natural energy to boost his physical and spiritual abilities.

He also gains the ability to create Truth-Seeking Balls, black orbs that contain various elemental natures possessing unique properties, like the ability to nullify ninjutsu and physical attacks.

In the aftermath of the war, he received chakra from all the Tailed Beasts, increasing his chakra reserve and earning fragments of abilities from all of the tailed beasts. He is the only medium through which all the beasts can communicate.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki, also known as the Sage of Six Paths, was the first ever Jinchuriki revered as a legendary figure and the progenitor of shinobi and chakra.

Along with his brother Hamura, they battled the Ten-Tails, the original and most powerful Tailed Beast, they defeated it, and Hagoromo sealed the beast within himself.

Since the beast posed an immense threat and danger, Hagoromo made the decision to divide its chakra and create the nine separate Tailed Beasts.

He used his Creation of All Things Technique to separate the Ten-Tails’ chakra into nine distinct entities, each containing a portion of the Ten-Tails’ power.

Hagoromo aimed to bring balance and harmony to the world by entrusting the Tailed Beasts to capable Jinchuriki, and so he became the first person to successfully seal the Tailed Beasts within human hosts, known as Jinchuriki.

He was truly the strongest Jinchuriki in the realm of Naruto’s universe.
