‘Solo Leveling’ Snatches the Limelight as Crunchyroll Unveils its Anime

The ultimate king of webtoons, Solo Leveling, is finally getting the treatment it deserves. What else can I be talking about except its upcoming anime adaptation?

After years of webtoon fans shouting on every social media platform that the brilliant series needs an anime, it’s finally happening.

During the Anime Expo 2022 Industry Panel, Crunchyroll announced that the famous South Korean webtoon, Solo Leveling, will receive an anime adaptation in 2023. Studio A-1 Pictures is in charge of the animation production.

To commemorate the decision, Crunchyroll has revealed a promotional video and a visual, both of which show Jinwoo and his terrifying powers:

Rather than being a trailer, the video rather depicts some of the most interesting and exciting scenes from the webtoon. Some character designs for Jinwoo and other characters are present as well.

Although anime-Jinwoo looks a bit different than webtoon-Jinwoo, I will hold my opinion till a proper trailer is out.

The staff members who will be working on the Solo Leveling anime under Studio A-1 Pictures have already been revealed:

Head WriterNoboru KimuraGundam Build Divers
Character DesignerTomoko SudoAlice in Borderland
Music Composer Hiroyuki SawanoAttack on Titan

Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo panel was full of interesting anime announcements but I think this is the one that fans will crave the most. Solo Leveling will be streamed outside of Asia by Crunchyroll when it airs next year.

You will witness Jinwoo’s rise to power once again, and this time the delivery will be much more compelling. If A-1 Pictures does a good job, then Solo Leveling might be the reigning king of 2023.
