Dell announces XPS Series at CES 2024; Three new laptops to be launched

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is all set to be held from Jan 9th till Jan 12th. It is a mainstream tech event held in Las Vegas every year, serving as a platform for companies to showcase their upcoming products. With just a few days left, Dell revealed some extremely exciting good news, scheduled to be unveiled at the CES.

Dell has announced its upcoming XPS laptop PC series, consisting of three new laptops called the XPS 16, XPS 14, and XPS 13. The laptops, all run on Microsoft Windows 11, will feature sophisticated design elements emphasizing on “simplicity at the core”.

The XPS 13 is an updated version of the XPS 13 Plus which was launched at CES 2022. The new laptops are designed to boost productivity and creativity by eliminating factors which can lead to distractions.

In a recent blog post, Dell explained the making behind the new XPS laptops and their key features. The XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 are made of machined aluminum with a Gorilla Glass 3 display. Buyers can choose from two color options– Graphite and Platinum.

One of their most appealing features is the touch function row which gives the laptop a sleek and classy look. The row will give easy access to media and function keys. Clearly, accessibility was a major focus while designing the XPS laptops.

The Dell XPS series also features integrated “AI acceleration”. Its Intel Core Ultra processors have been designed to work with AI-enabled tasks without overloading. The keyboards will also include a Microsoft “Copilot key” which can activate the integrated Copilot AI assistant system. The new addition to the standard Microsoft keyboards has been positively received by fans worldwide.

By the looks of it, the new XPS series by Dell is targeted more towards working individuals rather than gamers. However, judging by the specs, these laptops can perform well with less demanding games.
