Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead’s CEO addresses grievances of fans

Summary

  • Helldivers 2’s Developing Studio – Arrowhead’s CEO has been addressing fans’ grievances on Twitter.
  • He has assured fans that the development team works 24/7 to resolve the server and matchmaking issues.
  • He has advised fans against buying the title if they are running low on cash with a confident and reassuring tone.

Swedish developers Arrowhead did not anticipate the barrage of players that would take a liking to the latest release of Helldivers 2. They, however, remain responsive to the fans’ requests to increase the server capacity.

On Twitter, developers Arrowhead’s CEO John Pilestedt responded to the disappointed fans of Helldivers 2, clarifying that the developers are working on improving the server capacity 24/7. He also mentioned that all future works are currently stalled, with work going on around the clock to fix the server load issue.

This is one of the rare and appreciable instances in which the CEO of the developing company takes responsibility and interacts with the fans directly to ensure all grievances are addressed.

Staying accountable is one of the things that the big developers forget to do regularly, let alone have direct conversations with the buyer.

John Pilestedt has responded to the fans’ grievances on Twitter, promising that the server capacity will be improved. His replies are lightly peppered with humor, with replies to tweets saying that the server issue will be resolved when the CEO replies.

In a move that proves his dedication and care for the fanbase, John Pilestedt has advised fans against buying the title now if they are short on cash, as the game is currently unplayable.

On another front, a new development has seen fans requesting that Helldivers 2 be ported to Xbox. Right now, it’s unlikely, but once the servers are up and running, that might be a conversation John might be having with his team.
