The movie did not have any updates that were released, and most of the fans were frustrated due to the lack of information. Now, after a long wait, there’s a new update.

Kadokawa revealed a new teaser video for ‘Overlord, the Movie Holy Kingdom Arc.’ The film will open in 2024.

The video features Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth as he looks over the Holy Kingdom of Paladin. He talks about making the Kingdom ‘fun,’ where you can only hear the shrieks and cries of the residents.

Naoyuki Itou is returning to direct the anime film at Madhouse Production.

The movie will adapt the twelfth volume of the Overlord light novel series titled ‘The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom.’ 

It details the Roble Holy Kingdom seeking aid from Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown to battle against the allied army of demi-humans commanded by Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth.

It has been an incredibly long time since the movie was announced, and most of us have moved on, but for the few who waited, let’s hope this anime film was worth the wait.
