Hijack Episode 5: Is the mysterious girl in Episode 5 an Agent?

The Apple TV+ original, Hijack, has been able to maintain the suspense, and till now, we do not know if Sam Nelson and the British authorities would be able to save the day. Sam Nelson was trying his best to devise a plan to keep all the passengers, but the odds were not in his favor, and he was running out of options.

But still, Sam didn’t lose hope, and in the fifth episode, he again used his manipulative tactics and devised another plan.

In the previous episode of Hijack, we saw that an unknown person had handed over a folder to the Home Minister on which the word “demand” was written. The home minister had no clue what was happening on flight KA29, and he called the foreign secretary, Lousie, to ask what she knew about the issue.

Meanwhile, in Dubai, Neela’s neighbors got suspicious and informed the police that something was not right in their neighborhood. Neela is a TSA agent working at a major airport in Dubai. She is the same woman the perpetrators of the hijacking coerced to let their men board the British flight with weapons. She is later killed by the two men disguised as cleaners.

Who is Neela?

Neela is a complex character. She is initially portrayed as a dedicated and hardworking TSA agent, but it is later revealed that she is also a single mother struggling to make ends meet.

On a personal level, Neela is still reeling from the death of her husband, Akash. She is struggling to come to terms with her grief, and she is also feeling guilty about the fact that she was not with him when he died. This guilt manifests in several ways, including her tendency to self-isolate and difficulty trusting others.

On a professional level, Neela is facing increasing pressure from her boss, Arvind, to find a way to rescue the hijacked plane. Arvind is constantly breathing down her neck, and he is not afraid to make unrealistic and unethical demands. Neela is caught in a difficult position, as she wants to do everything, she can to save the passengers, but she also knows that Arvind is manipulating her.

In addition to these personal and professional challenges, Neela is also dealing with the emotional fallout of the hijacking itself. She has seen firsthand the trauma that the passengers have experienced, and she is feeling helpless to do anything to help them.

This helplessness is taking a toll on her mental health, and she is questioning her ability to cope with the situation.

She is vulnerable to the threats of the perpetrators because she is afraid for her family’s safety. Sadly, her fear proved correct.

Later, when she went to her house, she was killed by the two men disguised as cleaners. The police came, and the woman living in the neighboring house told them everything she knew. She had seen the cleaners leaving, and her intuition told her something was wrong.

The police went inside and found out that Neela’s entire family had been murdered, and soon, the news got out and was covered by the various local media houses.

One in Zahra Gahfoor’s department saw it online and informed everybody about it. The home minister got the evidence he needed, and now he knew that the masterminds of the hijacking were capable of killing the passengers on board.

Neela’s death is a tragic event, but it also highlights the dangers of terrorism. It shows how even the most innocent people can be caught up in the violence of these acts.
