Does the Anime Stay True to the Source Material?

The anime adaptation has an accurate representation of the source material. The series has a unique manner of delivery that is achieved in the simplest way possible: by never taking itself too seriously.

However, it’s worth noting that there are several nuanced details in the light novel and manga that Studio Nexus hasn’t adapted into anime.

Although the anime introduced all the Seven Shadows of Shadow Garden, the manga didn’t mention Eta and Zeta at all.

What is the Plot of Season Two

The second season is expected to continue where the first season left off, further developing the characters and plot. It will adapt volume 3 of the light novel and is expected to start again from the third volume, covering major chapters such as Lawless City Bandit Hunting, Storming the Crimson Tower, Pursuing the Blood Queen, and more.

The Eminence in Shadow, a manga by Daisuke Aizawa, started serialization in 2018. It is scheduled to receive an anime in October 2022. An anime film, titled ‘The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes,’ was announced in December 2023.

Cid, the protagonist, is obsessed with becoming a hidden mastermind. Being reincarnated in an isekai world gives him the chance to act on his wishes and build up his power beyond the notice of people.

After rescuing an elf, he forms a squad who are supposed to fight the Diabolos cult which is just a figment of his imagination. However, the cult turns out to be true and now he actually has an enemy to face.
