1. When Will One Piece End?

As there is no official answer, I will discuss the most popular speculations regarding the ending date of One Piece; let’s start with the predicted date given by none other than our beloved Oda sensei.

I. Theory I

Oda has often predicted the ending date of One Piece, the first time being when the series was started; at that time, Oda stated that the series would run for about 5 to 10 years. It’s been two decades since then, and the series shows no signs of stopping.

The most recent prediction was given in 2022, where Oda stated that One Piece will end in the next 3 years, i.e. 2025. But this prediction is to be taken with a grain of salt, considering Oda’s previous prophecies regarding the End of One Piece.

Even if Oda sensei tries his best to finish the manga by 2025, the continuous breaks between the chapters due to his bad health make it impossible to finish the series in time.

II. Theory II

We all know Oda likes to play with numbers; for example, Luffy’s birthday spells out Gomu, and Buggy’s spells out Bara, their respective devil fruit’s name.

There are many other examples of these number-spelling patterns throughout One Piece, dropped by the mastermind Oda-Sensei.

Going by this pattern, if we look at chapter numbers 1156 and 1200, they spell Hito and (Dawn when translated to English), which symbolize ending. The series could end in these chapters. Now, when will these chapters released?

At 37 chapters per year, chapter 1156 would be released around March 2025 and 1200 around July 2026. These could be the actual ending dates of One Piece.

III. Theory III

It has been heavily hinted/rumored that Oda-sensei wishes to see/celebrate the 30th anniversary of One Piece, which would be in 2027. The 30th anniversary of One Piece could also be the end of it.

Fans have also speculated that with the Continued Breaks due to the author’s bad health, it is impossible to end the series by 2025, i.e., the speculation by Oda.

If the series continues at its current pace, it will likely end around 2030, if not later.

2. Oda’s Unpredictability

Now, we all love Oda for keeping us on our toes. The dude’s known for flipping the script and taking us on unexpected detours.

So, while everyone’s throwing around these timelines and dates, Oda might say, “Nah, let’s mix it up.” We could be in for surprise twists and turns that mess with our neat predictions. Oda’s storytelling is like a rollercoaster; we’re all just along for the ride.

3. Conclusion

So there you have it – the One-Piece ending is still this big question mark. Oda’s health, those pesky plot points, and unpredictable storytelling style keep us all guessing. As we eagerly wait for that epic reveal, the journey to the end remains one heck of a thrilling and unexpected ride.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997.

The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, is Gol D. Roger. The final words he said at the execution tower were “My treasures? If you want it, I’ll let you have it. Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. His diverse crew is joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
