The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is going through an epic Culling Game arc right now, which has everyone hooked onto the story.
No update or news escapes the fans, and if you’re even a minute late in reading the latest chapter, then your experience will be ruined by the numerous spoilers.
After Megumi was deceived by a girl named Remi, we were left in the dark about what happened to the head of the Zenin clan after meeting another strong opponent called Reggie.
Moreover, Yuji finally found the genius attorney, Hiromi Higuruma, and gave us one of the much-awaited face-offs of this arc. Although, this sensational brawl will be put on hold as the manga’s going on a break.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be on a break next week in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #52. The manga will resume in the magazine’s issue #1, 2022, on December 6, 2021.
As usual, fans expressed mixed emotions on social media platforms regarding the hiatus. Some were frustrated over it and bad-mouthing Gege, while most fans got concerned over the mangaka’s health.
Constant or sudden breaks between manga chapters have become a grave issue in the past years, and things are not getting any better.
Due to the exploitative work culture of the manga and anime industry, creators often get diagnosed with severe illnesses that force them to take a break.
These illnesses often become fatal if not taken proper care of, which becomes impossible due to the unrealistic deadlines. That’s why we hope that Gege is fine and is taking complete rest during this much-deserved break.
The manga is carefully treading towards something much more legendary and heart-breaking than what we’ve seen till now (yes, even more, painful than Shibuya).
Gege is making sure that we pay attention to every detail so that he can drop the bomb of dread on us anytime he sees fit.
As excited as I am for the upcoming chapters, I hope Gege has some mercy on us this time :’).
