Kaido

However, in chapter 1049 of the One Piece manga, Luffy finally defeats Kaido, which is yet to be animated. Fans are going rabid for the next episode, man the wait feels like infinity.

Anyways, In the manga, Luffy straight-up snatched Kaidou by his tail, thrashing and swinging him around as if he was weightless.

He even turned Kaido into a frickin’ jump rope. What a shameless sight for the “mighty” Yonko.

Since Gear 5 enhances his rubber-like abilities to the Zenith, His body becomes so flexible and strong his head is able to wrap around Kaido’s Kanabo.

He finishes Kaido with an attack named “Gomu Gomu no Gigant,” where he transforms his fist to the size of an island, causing  Kaidou to collapse on the earth with a massive crater.

What is Gear 5?

Gear 5 is Luffy’s most recent powerup that broke the charts and crashed the sites upon being animated. It is the awakened state of Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika devil fruit, turning him literally into the divine Sun God Nika.

Gear 5

Luffy activates this in chapter 1044 of One Piece, covering the Wano Country Arc, where Luffy clashes with Kaidou, aka “Kaido of the Beasts,” on the rooftop of Onigashima.

Can Luffy Defeat BM now?

Yes, Luffy can easily defeat Big Mom or Charlotte Linlin, the captain of the Big Mom Pirates, now that he was truly awakened activated Gear 5.

However, BM was previously defeated by Eustass Kid and Trafalgar D. Water Law in the Wano Country arc in chapter 1040 and Episode 1067 of the anime.

Big Mom

She was the main antagonist during the Whole Cake Island Arc and the entirety of the Whole Cake Island Saga.

She also filled in the role of the secondary antagonist in the latter part of the Wano Country Arc and the secondary antagonist of the Wano Country Saga overall.

She is one of the Four Emperors, the strongest pirate crew in the New World, and Her bounty amounts to a whopping 4,388,000,000 berries.

She is truly a formidable opponent, and her devil fruit, Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit), grants her the power to manipulate souls and control aspects of life force.

She can extract and store souls like a witch, which she uses to strengthen her crew and create powerful entities called Homies, which are living objects given life through souls.

These are three of Big Mom’s Homies, each representing different aspects of weather-Prometheus, Zeus, and Napoleon.

Prometheus is a sun-like Homie that can produce intense heat.

Zeus is a cloud Homie that can generate electricity.

Napoleon is a hat Homie that serves as Big Mom’s sword.

The fight between Big Mom and Eustass Kid and Trafalgar D. Water Law is covered from Chapters 1015 to 1040 of the One-Piece manga, and her demise was animated in episode 1067 of the anime titled “To the New Era! Settled! The Determination of the Brats”

As the battle intensified, Big Mom was rescued by her loyal Homies, Prometheus and Napoleon. Big Mom conjured a new ally, Hera, to replace Zeus.

This creation aimed to launch a destructive strike against Kid and Killer, hurtling the two Supernovas into the Skull Dome of Onigashima.

Big Mom wasted no time in locating them, taking down Page One and Ulti along the way, an action that triggered her “Mother Mode.”She then engaged in combat with Kid, who Law quickly joined.

As Big Mom found herself cornered by Kid and Law. Kid’s Damned Punk, which he had used to fire an electromagnetic projectile, injured her, and eventually pushed her off Onigashima.

She tried to push her into a hole while she resorted to her Soul Pocus move.

Attempting to steal fifty years from their lives and essentially ending them. However, since both Kid and Law stand undaunted by her, the attack falls flat.

Law then crafts an R-ROOM, which sticks to her movements regardless of her attempts to evade.

As a tribute to his mentor Rosinante, Law employs “Silent,” silencing Big Mom while she remains within the Room.

Her homie Misery attempts to aid her by trying to attack Law from behind, but Law slices her in half with his sword.

Meanwhile, Kid uses a second Damned Punk, emitting an even stronger ray, finally sending Big Mom into the hole.

Plummeting down, Big Mom crashes into the armory below. Unaware of the bombs’ explosive nature, she seizes a frozen bomb, triggering a detonation that carves out yet another hole at the island’s base.

This unfortunate event propels her toward the Wano Country mainland like a balloon.

Acting swiftly, Yamato employs a frozen debris chunk to shield against the explosion, averting the activation of the other bombs.

Big Mom going to Hell

As she falls towards the ground, she Catches sight of the vibrant Fire Festival festivities in the neighboring Flower Capital, and memories of her past with Carmel surge forth.

She gets annoyed by her inability to conquer Luffy.

Big Mom curses Gol D. Roger for igniting the Golden Age of Piracy, which subsequently bred a multitude of inexperienced rookie pirates.

She finally falls into a magma chamber, setting off a massive eruption of scorching lava.

Hence, Kid and Law were victorious in defeating one of the Yonko’s, a legendary feat.
