6. Will there be a season 2?

There has not been any official confirmation for a Season 2 by Netflix. However, the head writer and executive producer, Matt Owens, is said to have been working on the script for Season 2.

Also, if the first season of the Live-Action One Piece series hits off successfully along with the One Piece Film Red, there’s light for an upcoming Season 2.

7. What changes have been made in the adaptation of the manga?

From what the synopsis reveals, here are some substantial deviations from the manga.

  • The introduction of Garp (Vice-Admiral of the Marines), who is actively searching for Luffy, accompanied by Koby and Helmeppo.

However, in the manga, Luffy’s reunion with Koby and encounter with Garp occurred much later, around chapter 431 or episode 313 of the anime.

  • Usopp, aka God or the King of Snipers, seeks assistance from the Marines during the Syrup Village Arc.

This never happened in the manga or anime.

  • Also, the Warship Island filler arc won’t be covered in the live-action series.
