1. Season 1 Timeline

Goblin Slayer Season 1 was released on October 7, 2018, with 12 episodes that encapsulated Volume 1 and 2 of the Light Novel.

The series starts off with a young priestess joining a group of newbies to embark on an adventure, learn the true meaning of friendship, and overcome any obstacles.

They enter a cave while on a goblin slaying quest and guess what, they get ambushed by goblins.

The goblins in this anime take things too far and even commit rape, along with many bloody scenes.

Suddenly, a knight in shining armor, our Goblin Slayer, arrives and rescues the princess.

The Goblin Slayer saves the priestess and kills goblins, even their babies, as Goblins had murdered his family and tortured his sister until the end.

The Priestess then joined the Goblin Slayer, as he is a skilled guy at work.

He accompanies his old friend, the Cowgirl and Slayer, to the Adventurers’ Guild to find work but gets treated as an outcast because of his armor and the fact that he accepted only Goblin-related tasks.

However, his work is commended by them. Later on, some new characters are introduced, like High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, and two young adventurers.

The Goblin Slayer receives a special quest from the Sword Maiden, who had once slayed the previous Demon Lord a decade ago.

Apparently, a number of violent murders had been occurring around town, and it was suspected to be the work of those damn Goblins.

Goblin Slayer and his party go into the sewers to investigate, but the fishy part is that Goblins aren’t smart enough to use boats, so there seems to be a piece missing in the puzzle.

On further investigation, they ended up falling into a trap, and They encountered a Goblin champion who was able to inflict some serious damage on the crew, especially our guy, the Goblin Slayer.

After recovering enough, they defeated a monster in the sewers and discovered an enigmatic mirror.

Turns out that it was like a portal that linked the sewers of Water Town to the Green Moon, from where the goblins came. The crew got rid of it and hoped that the goblins wouldn’t terrorize the people anymore.

They get hailed as heroes and have a festive lunch back in their town. However, Goblin Slayer notices some goblin footprints and deduces that a horde of those vile creatures will attack them.

Initially, the town isn’t interested in taking on those goblins, but with the help of Guild Girl, they set up a bounty for each dead goblin.

The Goblin Lord leads the horde, a very astute goblin of his race.

Goblin Slayer loses to him, and right when he is at the gates of death, the Priestess casts protection spells and saves him. That’s how season 1 wraps up.

2. Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, Movie Timeline

Goblin Slayers movie, “Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown,” was released on February 1, 2020. It covered the 5th volume of the Light Novel.

The movie starts off with a recap of season 1 for the first 25 mins then we begin with a quest given to the Goblin Slayer by the Sword Maiden.

The crew heads north to the snowy mountains on a quest to find the Noble Fencer and her own party, who had been missing while on a goblin slaying quest.

They retrieve Fencer, but her party had been murdered, and she was traumatized by the torture and rape. They even took her sword away.

Man, all these traumatized characters really get you attached to the show as you are able to understand their pain and their motives.

Turns out the Goblin she had encountered was a Goblin Paladin, a rare breed capable of using magic. He had branded her with the symbol of the God of Wisdom.

Goblin Slayer and his crew got to know that the Goblin Paladin was in a nearby abandoned Castle, so they decided to ambush them and have Fencer take her revenge and overcome her trauma.

They get creative and put on disguises of some cultists delivering female prisoners, the kind of stuff the goblins are into.

They lure the goblins outside and start the duel. Goblin Slayer was facing the boss, the Goblin Paladin.

With his battle tactics, he devised an idea and ordered Fencer to use a lightning spell on a nearby mountain. It caused an avalanche and buried those nasty Goblins.

Goblin Slayer successfully defeated this Goblin lord and even retrieved Fencer’s stolen sword.
