Does Saitama lose to God?

The most awaited battle in One Punch Man has yet to take place, between Saitama and the enigmatic character God, it’s got fans buzzing to see the outcome.

Saitama will not lose to God because he can level up without any constraints as he had smashed through his “Limiter” long ago.

Keep reading to uncover more.

1. Reasons to Support Saitama

I. Saitama Broke His Limiter

Other than Saitama breaking his limiter, he won’t lose to God as this enigmatic entity in the realm of OPM is not an Omnipotent being. Had he been, Saitama would have been finished long ago.

The Limiter is a barrier to physical growth that was set up by God to prevent beings from turning into mindless, ravaging monsters. Our genius doctor coined this term, Dr. Genusin, in Chapter 88 of the OPM Manga.

Saitama broke his limiter with his strenuous training and tapped into unlimited powers and potential.

II. “God” is not Omnipotent

Just because the character is named “God” doesn’t make him an absolute omnipotent being with unlimited power.

If we look at it from this angle, then even Saitama could be labelled as God, as it appears he has the potential for unlimited power.

This can be backed up by the fact that, during the battle with Garou, he had entered his “Cosmic Fear Mode” after being bestowed powers from God.

With this, Garou used “Mode: Saitama,” where he copied Saitama’s Consecutive Normal Punches move and his power.

Even then, after one point, Saitama’s power kept accelerating, and Garou couldn’t keep up with Saitama’s power and eventually tasted defeat.

III. God Depending on Other Characters

Another factor to consider is that if this enigmatic character, “God”, was so mighty and strong, why did he lean on Garou and give him powers instead of facing Saitama himself?

So much for a “God” to sit back and bestow powers to wreak havoc.

Maybe he is also preparing to fight against Saitama, as he had evidently referred to Saitama as “The Fist That Turned Against God”.

Obviously, God views Saitama as an opponent, and there will be an epic battle between the two, even cooler than the one between Garou and Saitama.

In addition, chapter 193 of OPM manga dropped on Thursday, October 5, where Flashy Flash asks Saitama to become his disciple to polish his skills and to assist in finding Manako to get clues on “God.”

This further hints that the final arc will showcase a battle between God and Saitama.

Hopefully, God will be a worthy opponent for Saitama and entertain him to alleviate his boredom.

3. About One Punch Man

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero webcomic created by the artist One in early 2009. It has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata, as well as an anime adaptation. Following its publication, the webcomic quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012.

On an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been wreaking havoc in the cities. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop them. The heroes are ranked from Class C to Class S.

Saitama, an unassociated hero, hails from the metropolis of City-Z and performs heroic deeds for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he broke his “limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch while slaying monsters the same way. But he is now bored with his omnipotence and frustrated by sensing he lacks a challenge.
