Saitama has ungodly powers and unmatched humor without even trying, making him popular in the realm of anime and fandoms.

He has got everything he needs and has even broken his “limiter”, perhaps it’s time for him to have a lover as well.

A ship has been teased slightly in the OPM manga and in this article, we are going to look into it in detail.

1. Will Tatsumaki and Saitama end up together? Does Tatsumaki love Saitama?

Tatsumaki and Saitama might end up together in the future, as it seems that Tatsumaki is developing feelings for him, as seen in the Psychic Sisters Arc in the manga.

As of now, Tatsumaki doesn’t “love” Saitama but she sure has some feelings and a lot of respect for him, given that she listened to his opinion of letting Fubuki’s ex-group accompany her.

2. Does Tatsumaki like Saitama?

Tatsumaki appears to have developed feelings for Saitama as seen in the “Psychic Sisters Arc” of the Manga. She looks up to him and even listens to his opinions, which appalled everyone.

Here are some instances:

In chapter 178 of the Manga, Saitama steps in to stop Tatsumaki from punishing Fubuki’s “Blizzard Group” as she was destroying the vicinity with her psychic abilities.

Saitama holds her hand trying to stop her from doing any more damage, meanwhile, Tatsumaki unleashes her powers on him and he withstands it, which surprises both of the psychic sisters.

Tatsumaki still doesn’t listen to him and questions his relationship with Fubuki, when he tells her he is just an acquaintance.

She gets fired up and tells him this:

She goes on wreaking more havoc, so Saitama resorts to hugging her to take her away from the populated area.

Her facial expressions are hilarious as it’s probably been a long time since someone had the guts to get too close to her.

What happens next is adorable, as in chapter 181 when Saitama suggests getting back to the Hero Association.

Tatsumaki stands close to him expecting him to hug her again like last time.

Saitama being the airhead he is, doesn’t catch onto that and Tatsumaki gets annoyed again.

Looks like a typical Tsundere girl’s reaction to me.

What’s more is that Saitama says this to Tatsumaki:

Saitama telling Tatsumaki to go all out on him | Source: Viz Media

Which perplexes Tatsumaki as no one had ever challenged her like this, and been so damn calm about it.

So in chapter 182 of the manga she went all out on Saitama and actually enjoyed it, for once she didn’t feel as though she was taking on a weakling.

{Note: A Major difference from the Webcomic is that Tatsumaki doesn’t succumb to her injuries from her previous fight, instead she is shown to be exhausted.

With this the Manga sheds more light on her interaction with Saitama which is a more refined version of the Webcomic.}

She was appalled that she couldn’t launch him into space with her power, as he was too heavy for her, and Tatsumaki was humbled by it.

Whereas Saitama was just amused:

After expending such immense power, Tatsumaki passed out and had a flashback to the time when she was just a girl and looked up to Blast.

Blast had saved her when a hybrid monster had attacked the testing facility where Tatsumaki and Fubuki were.

Tatsumaki had not used her powers against the monster and he caught onto that.

Blast had engrained the idea that she has to use her power to protect her family as its the strong that survive.

She tried to save Fubuki then, but she had to murder a couple of people to protect Fubuki which in turn ended up traumatizing Fubuki who awakened her powers as well.

With this, Tatsumaki felt alienated and felt that all she had to do was to become the strongest and in the process she distanced herself from everyone.

In her dream she was talking to Blast and confessed this:

This reflects Tatsumaki’s psyche, she didn’t want to be the way she is but she had to do it otherwise people would have stepped on her and her sister.

However, she feels that she has become alienated because of this “self” that she built and wanted Blast to help her fix it.

This is when she walks upto Saitama’s shining bald head, which indicates that Saitama is going to help her with that, just the way King did by teaching him the value of human relationships.

Saitama commended her abilities which made her blush:

With this it’s evident that Tatsumaki holds Saitama at Blast’s level and is developing feelings for him.

Which she obviously wouldn’t confess so easily as she is the Typical Tsundre.

She even listened to Saitama’s advice to let Fubuki’s ex-group members join her little sister again as he too was once a novice weakling.

She declared this to Saitama:

Which sounds like she is impressed with him and is looking for an excuse to have an enthralling duel with him.

Girls like having excuses to be around the ones they like and this seems to be the case here as well.

3. Does Saitama like Tatsumaki?

Saitama doesn’t seem to have developed any feelings for her as of yet. He treats her as an equal and is impressed with her abilities and powers.

Maybe in the near future, he might end up developing some feelings as he looked like he genuinely had fun while trying to stop Tatsumaki from destroying the city.

We all know that Saitama is hella bored after he smashed his limiter and became invincibly strong. No opponent was a match for him.

SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from One-Punch Man.

Only Garou’s awakened form had triggered Saitama to get serious after Garou had “killed” Genos.

However, that was also a fight that Saitama inevitably won of course.

Being with Tatsumaki could lighten up his world and make it exciting for him in this sense, plus they are like opposites so it’s going to be a blast indeed.

4. Will they end up together?

There’s a chance that Saitama and Tatsumaki might end up together and be the most explosive and hilarious couple we have ever seen a in the realm of anime, as of yet.
