In this article, we will be Unmasking the fate of Guts’ lost arm so keep reading until the end.

Did Guts ever get his arm back?

Guts never recovered his real arm, instead, he got a prosthetic forearm which Rickert and Erica made with a couple of materials from Godot’s warehouse.

After the Eclipse, Rickert made this prosthetic arm for Guts as a farewell gift before Guts left for his journey to seek revenge against the apostles.

Erica had helped Rickert out as well, in making the cool prosthetic arm.

Losing his left forearm was another tragic event for Guts. However, he didn’t let that cripple him.

The prosthetic forearm is even dubbed the “Cannon Arm” as it hides a cannon that aids him in battles and complements the Dragon Slayer.

It even has a small magnet in it, to make it easier for Guts to wield Dragon Slayer.

Guts uses the cannon feature in fights by loading it with powder and cannonballs, then he pulls a cord that ignites and fires the cannon.

Sometimes when he wasn’t able to use his right arm to pull the cord, he would even use his teeth to pull it.

Another cool add-on is the Reapeater Crossbow, which can be mounted on the prosthetic and shoot arrows in succession.

A minor drawback is that his prosthetic forearm doesn’t allow him to move his fingers freely, it’s like they are frozen in place.

However, the magic of the Berserker armor allows him to use his fingers as he wishes.

This Prosthetic forearm reminds me of Edward Elric’s cool prosthetic arm.

Even though both of these characters lost their limbs, they overcame it and used their prosthetics in such a manner that it ended up enhancing their combat abilities, rather than being a disability that crippled them,

This subconsciously teaches you to overcome your hurdles as well, this is why anime is the best.
