The Best Loadouts in Helldivers 2 – Weapons, Armor & Stratagems

Loadouts can make or break a situation in Helldivers 2. When the hordes of Automatons and Termininds are on your tail, it’s either fight or flight, and one cannot survive without picking the best loadouts to work with.

Whether you plan to take charge on the battlefield solo or with a squad, I have recommended some loadouts based on their uses. With them, you can understand what’s worth bringing to the fight and what’s not.

These loadouts will help create your own according to your playstyle, specifically catering to your needs. With that being said, let’s take a look at what Weapons, Armor, and Stratagems go into making these loadouts.

The Beginner’s Luck is an early game loadout involving utilizing the weapons you start with. Passives such as Extra Padding and Democracy Protects can save your life, with the former providing more protection against explosives and the latter preventing you from bleeding out.

For Stratagems, I recommend the Machine Gun Sentry for clearing out hordes of enemies, the Eagle Cluster Bomb and the Orbital Precision Strike to clear out nests. Finally, grab the Supply Pack to restock ammunition on the go.

As the name suggests, the Last Man Standing Loadout focuses on solo progression in Helldivers 2. While flying solo, grab either of the Guard Dog Stratagems for extra protection for you and your team on the battlefield. The only difference is that the Standard uses a rifle while the Rover uses a laser.

Since you will be alone on the field, it’s better to maintain some distance between you and the enemies. Hence, I’ve recommended the Anti-Material Rifle and the Autocannon to make your job easier.

Use the Eagle Cluster Bomb or the Orbital Precision Strike when feeling overwhelmed by enemies. To avoid being swarmed by them, keep the Gatling Sentry close to clear out the hordes.

This loadout focuses on the Terminids enemy type in Helldivers 2. During bug missions, you’ll face hordes of them, which can be terrifying if you’re not using your weapons strategically. Get the SG-225 Breaker or the AR-23 Liberator with the P-19 Redeemer as your Secondary Weapon to mow down the Terminids at medium to long ranges.

Grab the Engineering Perk with a Light or Medium Armor to get additional Grenades, which will come in handy to close bug holes. Have a support weapon such as the Stalwart or the Autocannon along with the Gatling Sentry to wipe out bigger targets in higher-level missions.

To take down bug nests effectively, pair the Orbital Precision Strike with either the Eagle Cluster Bomb or the Eagle Napalm Strike to wipe them out. You can also use the Orbital Laser or the Barrage to eliminate large groups of Terminids.

The armored Automatons need weapons and Stratagems that can pierce through them, which is why the SG-225 is perfect for this loadout. Pair that with the Orbital 380MM HE Barrage or the Orbital Walking Barrage, and you have a lethal combo. This pair focuses on a broader area, wreaking havoc on the Automatons from every side.

For the Automatons, I’d recommend carrying a Shield Stratagem with you when running higher-level missions to avoid getting overwhelmed. On top of that, you’ll get some extra protection because, trust me, the Automatons are no spring chicken.
