Bungou Stray Dogs is an anime with a great storyline and a good balance between drama and comedy. It is well-delivered, engaging and mysterious and has garnered a lot of attention among the masses.
After three long years, Bungou Stray Dogs is finally back with Season 4. It will premiere Episode 1 on January 4th, 2023, at 11 PM JST. Before we get ready for the anime, let’s have a quick recap of everything that happened so far in Seasons 1 and 2.
Season 1 of Bungou Stray Dogs mainly deals with him joining the Armed Detective Agency and dealing with multiple supernatural cases while Season 2 focuses on the battle between The Guild, Agency and Port Mafia. It also dives into Dazai’s past.
Season 1
Season 1 of Bungou Stray Dogs mainly focuses on Atsushi Nakajima. Atsushi is a supernatural being and can turn into a tiger on full-moon nights. He is kicked out of his orphanage for the same reason and finds Dazai, who is a member of the Armed Detective Agency.
This agency investigates multiple cases and deals with many organisations. The story progresses as Atsushi and the Armed Detective Agency deal with weird and unique supernatural cases.
In one such case, he encounters Kyouka, a suicide Bomber and ends up saving her life. Kyouka and Atsushi grow closer but she ends up being taken by Akutagawa.
Dazai lets himself be captured by his ex-partner, Chuuya and they eventually face off. Another organisation called the guild comes into the picture.
The guild is responsible for placing a bounty on Atsushi. They are after the very hard to acquire the legal licence of operations.
Season 2
The second season of Bungou Stray Dogs focuses on Dazai’s past when he was the youngest executive of the Port Mafia. This season unravels a tragic story between him, Oda and Angou.
Oda is someone who made Dazai who he is today and is the reason for his character development. Back in the present, the battle between the Agency and the Guild continues.
This leads to a lot of interesting battles and is one of the best seasons of Bungou Stray Dogs.

Bungou Stray Dogs is a manga series by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. It has also received an anime adaptation.
The story follows Atsushi, a weretiger, who later joins the Armed Detective Agency, where people with special abilities help keep peace in the area.
The agency faces peril from time to time and must rise up against all odds.
