Why didn’t Yosano heal Dazai in Bungou Stray Dogs?

Dazai Osamu, the former executive of Port Mafia has the ability known as “No Longer Human”. This ability allows him to nullify every other ability making him a formidable opponent.

However, with this great power comes a great disadvantage. What is this disadvantage that comes with “No Longer Human”? Let’s find out!

Yosano cannot heal Dazai from her ability “Thou Shalt Not Die.” Dazai’s ability, “No Longer Human” nullifies every ability including Dr. Yosano’s. This prevents her from healing him as her ability requires physical contact. So, Dazai needs to heal normally and cannot rely on Yosano.

Yosano’s Ability Vanishes With Dazai’s Touch!

Yosano’s Ability “Thou Shall Not Die” has something to do with the butterflies touching the patient’s body. These butterflies would vanish the moment they touched Dazai’s body.

This is the reason Dazai has to heal normally and cannot depend on the amazing ability of Yosano. As seen in the anime, unlike everyone, Dazai had to go to the hospital when he got shot.
