Black Butler was a well-written anime that balanced the dark and comedic themes with perfection. The anime has three seasons and two OVAs, but it wasn’t enough for the fans as they craved more. Guess what! The wishes of everybody are coming true and here are the details.
Crunchyroll announced that Aniplex is producing a new anime adaptation of Black Butler manga during its panel at Anime Expo. The anime is not a remake but is a new season. It will premiere in 2024, and Crunchyroll has got the streaming rights.
A teaser visual and a trailer were released, along with the announcement. The trailer features Sebastian serving tea to Ciel, and they seem to be discussing something. The trailer ends with Sebastian’s iconic “I am one hell of a butler” voice-over.
The animation is completely different from the previous seasons and looks stunning. The anime is certain to build high expectations for the fans. And it will most probably deliver it.

The second season was a disappointment to many fans as they broke the canonicity by making Ciel a demon. They also introduced parody characters of Ciel and Sebastian, which didn’t stick well.
They depended on the source material for the OVA and the feature movie. It was a good decision. Fortunately, they are going to follow the manga for the new season.
It’s a perfectly balanced anime worth looking out for.
