Studio 4°C’s official Twitter account revealed the cast members and more staff for ‘Phoenix: Eden17’. The anime will debut on September 13 worldwide on Disney+. The anime’s Japanese title has been revealed to be “Hi no Tori: Eden no Sora.“
In addition to this information, a new film version of the anime with a different ending has been announced. The movie “Phoenix: Reminiscence of Flower” will open in Japan on November 3.
A new teaser trailer and visual for the movie have been released along with the announcement.
The teaser trailer introduces the world in which the anime is set, which is quite different from Earth. This world also has bizarre life forms that threaten human life. The trailer looks compelling, and the art style just sucks you in.
Katsunari Mano of Death Note, Light up the NEW world fame, and Saku Konohana (Children of the Sea) will be the new script writers for the anime.

The anime is based on Tezuka’s Phoenix series, which has 12 arcs, each with an individual storyline. Eden17 is based on the “Nostalgia” arc of the original manga.
The story focuses on Romi and her partner, who leave the devastated Earth to live on a new planet, Eden17. However, life has been extinct in the new world, and with the death of George, she is now subjected to even harsher situations.
The story is bizarre and engaging simultaneously, but you should watch this anime as it is simply brilliant.
