Criminally Underrated Anime “High Card” Greenlit for a New Season

From the director of Kakegurui, we have yet another masterpiece, High Card. The anime was exhilarating and focused on secret agents with superpowers concentrating on the mission to find High Cards. Some fans have even compared this anime to Kingsman: The Secret Service film.

The anime was brilliant both in storyline and execution but did not gather much popularity. However, it was able to collect a loyal fan base. The anime’s second season has been announced, and fans are excited.

The staff for the poker-themed High Card anime revealed the second season’s first promotional video, cast, team, and January 2024 premiere. In addition, the High Card multimedia project is getting a stage play in January 2024.

The brief promotional video shows Finn looking super tense about the events. The footage seems intense and packed with drama and action. This video teases a lot of fun and adventure and excites fans.

The animation studio and the staff members working for the anime aren’t well known in the industry, but they still delivered an absolute banger of a first season. Almost all the staff members are returning for the second season, and here’s the list.

The anime has excellent animation, an engaging storyline, and is action-packed. However, it is criminally underrated and needs to be checked out.

About High Card

High Card is a multi-media franchise by Kadokawa, TMS Entertainment, and Sammy Corporation. IT is set to receive anime, manga, novel, and drama adaptations. The anime will be released in 2023.

The franchise is based in Fourland where the power of 52 cards can change the world order. The owners of the cards can also get superhuman powers. When all the cards are scattered over the kingdom, it is the job of the High Card members to bring them back again.
