Satoshi Mizukami is a mangaka with tons of acclaimed cult hits. He is well known for his bizarre and unique story style. Sengoku Youko is one of the most beloved manga by this author.
Sengoku Youko is getting adapted into an anime, and fans are excited. The story of this manga is refreshing, and an anime adaptation for this masterpiece was long overdue.
Now that the anime has been announced let’s get into the details.
The official website for Satoshi Mizukami‘s Sengoku Youko anime revealed the anime’s key visual, promotional video, main cast, and staff. The anime is set to premiere in January 2024.
The anime will have two arcs — the “Yo Naoshi Kyōdai-hen” (World Reform Siblings Arc) and “Sen Ma Konton-hen” (Thousand Demons Chaos Arc) — and will run for three cours.
Many fans are worried about the adaptation of Sengoku Youko since Mizukami’s previous works were always treated poorly.
However, the PV brought back a little hope. Many fans went as far as to say that this PV has more animation budget than all the biscuit hammer episodes.
The short video features all the major characters and shows the transformation of Jinka into his fox form.
The teaser visual features Jinka in his fox form. His visuals are pretty different, as he assumes a white hair form with fox ears.

Sengoku Youko is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Satoshi Mizukami. It was serialized in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine from December 2007 to July 2014. An anime television series adaptation produced by White Fox is set to premiere in January 2024.

The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and vows to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting her own kind.
