First Film of “Haikyu Final” Project Receives Official Title

“Haikyu!!” is one of the most celebrated sports anime ever. This anime created a sensation with its engaging storyline, interesting characters and novel concept.

After the Karasuno vs Inarazaki arc was concluded at the end of the fourth season, news of the fifth instalment became one of the most anticipated phenomena within the community.

Now, the first part of the film has been officially announced. And here are all the details you need to know.

The first film of the two-part “Haikyu!! Final” project is titled “Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen” (Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump).

The staff also revealed the film’s logo:

The film will depict the “fated showdown” between Karasuno High and Nekoma High. This battle will be exciting primarily due to the long history associated with the schools. It will be interesting to see how the story develops.

While it is exciting to receive official information about the movie, there is still a lot of skepticism among the fans. They believe the pacing would be messed up if they tried to cram the entire manga’s ending, about 110 chapters, into a two-part movie.

The concerns aren’t baseless, as it would be challenging to control the pacing of this film project. However, it’s too early to jump to conclusions about the movie. It may be a disaster due to the pacing issues, or it may be surprisingly successful, primarily due to the talented staff working on the film.
