“Ao no Miburo” is set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, approximately 160 years ago. We follow the story of a young orphan named Nio, who can’t help but dream of a better world with justice.

When he meets two mysterious Ronins, his life turns to a bluer and clearer path as they go on a journey to show how even a few swords can positively change history.

The setting for this series is quite thrilling, as it is rare to find anime with historical background.
