The official website for Doga Kobo’s original television anime series Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night revealed its first fully animated promotional video. The trailer showed the anime’s main cast and staff members. The anime is set to premiere in April 2024.
The brief promotional video starts with our main characters discussing wanting to be someone other than themselves. These girls all have grandiose dreams and want to shine brightly.
While one wants to become an illustrator, the other wants to sing in front of a crowd. The video culminates all their dreams, and they decide to try living a life they wish before adulthood consumes them. Jellyfish might not be able to swim independently, but they can do it as a group.
Fujii drew an illustration to celebrate the manga adaptation announcement. The image features all the four main characters.
JELEE is credited with the original work, and Ryohei Takeshita (Eromanga Sensei) directs the series at Doga Kobo.
