The Tower of God is considered a masterpiece in the manhwa world. The series first received an anime adaptation in 2020, which boosted its popularity. The finale left fans with a cliffhanger, and the anticipation for a sequel only grew with time.
After three long years, a sequel has been greenlit, and the fans are going wild with excitement.
Crunchyroll announced at its panel at Anime NYC that the second season of the Tower of God anime will debut in July 2024. An announcement trailer was also released.
The trailer features some of the most iconic manhwa panels and some mysterious characters. It also showcases the protagonist, Bam, and other significant characters returning for the second season.
The key visual of ‘Tower of God’ features one of the series’ main characters, Ja Wangnan, along with Yeo Yihwa, the direct descendant of the Yeon family.
Fans hope the new season has a better art style as the key visual is of improved quality compared to the first season.
The main staff and cast members from Season 1 will probably return for the sequel; however, the information hasn’t been revealed yet. The anime will be available worldwide on Crunchyroll, and it will most likely simulcast the episodes shortly after the original version is broadcast in Japan.
The first season of the anime received a mixed response from the audience. The manhwa fans despised the fast pacing of the anime. However, the fans who went in without reading the manhwa thoroughly enjoyed the anime.
The announcement for the second season has created boundless hype among the fans as it’s been three long years since season 1 concluded—the first season of the anime covered until the 78th chapter, where Rachel’s betrayal was finally revealed.
The second season will most likely feature a time skip. We will also find explosive details about the tower and how Bam will face Rachel’s betrayal. The sequel will be filled with new adventures and revelations, so buckle up.
