Riverdale S7 E14 Ending: A Musical Love Letter to Archie and His Fans

It is all musical in episode 14 of Riverdale season 7 and we are treated to an emotional rollercoaster filled with nostalgic alleys. The episode, titled “Archie the Musical,” features original songs written by Kevin Keller and Clay Walker, two of Archie’s friends and fellow students at Riverdale High.

The entire episode is in the form of a musical and honors Archie, who has been the show’s protagonist since time immemorial.

The episode begins with Kevin pitching the musical idea to Principal Featherhead, who agrees to let him stage it at the school auditorium. Kevin recruits his friends to play the roles of Archie and his famous lovers, Betty and Veronica.

However, not everyone is enthusiastic about the project, especially Archie, who feels uncomfortable being the center of attention.

As the rehearsals progress, Archie’s dilemma about his life deepens, and he starts questioning his past, present, and future.

Should he join the army and follow his father’s footsteps, or should he continue his musical career? Life-altering questions like this bug him like crazy!

Adding to the trouble is his convoluted chemistry with Betty and Veronica. Archie knows both still have feelings for him despite being in different relationships. However, the dilemmas are too much for his brain to handle!

The heartfelt tribute finally makes Archie realize that music is his passion, and that’s what he wants to pursue. He also decides that he can’t date either of the two and wants to follow his passion and build a career.

About Riverdale

Based on a story from the popular Archies Comics, the 2017 Netflix drama Riverdale is centered on an innocent, small town of the same name.

It follows a group of high school students who are shocked by the death of a classmate, Jason Blossom. Together they unravel the secrets of Riverdale and who killed Jason.

Cole Sprouse’s grungy Jughead is the show’s narrator and school reporter who almost acts like its ‘Gossip Girl’ — documenting the characters’ lives and filling in the blanks for us.
