The Morning Show S3 Episode 7 Recap & Speculation: The Threeway Conundrum

The Morning Show is back with more exciting social commentary this time and Alex is at the helm of everything.

Alex Levy has always been the big old oak tree of the show, protecting everyone and solving almost everything. However, things get really complicated elsewhere when Bradley’s brother Hal has a sudden psychotic revelation that almost ruins his and Bradley’s career together.

Next week’s episode will slowly start building toward the grand finale. How will that pan out? Let’s discuss!

1. Episode 7 Synopsis/Speculation

Alex and Paul make love in this week’s episode amid all the tension regarding Hyperion’s takeover of the UBA and the pointy interview.

Will it have consequences? Revealing their little secret may have severe repercussions, including the failure of Hyperion’s takeover.

Alex might face severe backlash, especially from Cory, and I won’t be surprised if Paul backs out of the UBA deal.

Secondly, I am curious about how Hal deals with his constantly oscillating conscience.

In episode 6, Hal almost compromises Bradley’s job and reputation when he thinks about turning himself in for his past crimes. However, Laura convinces him to drop the psychotic urge. Will it come back again?

Personally, I don’t see Hal reversing his decision. However, he will do something stupid and reckless again, and the onus of dealing with it will again go to Bradley.

Lastly, the entire Stella-Cory-Marks saga will heat up even more next week. Marks plans to make Stella the CEO of UBA by firing Cory. At the outset, we think that Marks does this to repay his wrongdoings.

However, I don’t find Marks to be such a gentleman. He surely has some deep-seated motive and wants to buy out Stella’s silence. This three-way conundrum will be one of the major themes of the series finale. Have you picked your side yet?

Bradley and Laura | Source: IMDb

In this week’s episode of The Morning Show, Alex and Paul Marks go through a topsy-turvy time when Alex calls him to her show.

In the show, she asks him pointy questions about his company’s shady past and how he stole Stella Bak’s tech idea to become a billionaire.

Paul remains calm and dodges the questions but is charmed by Alex’s boldness. Their tension oozes out from the screen, and the two end up sleeping together.

Meanwhile, Bradley and Hal reach an impasse when Hal decides to turn himself in for his past crimes. This can spell disaster for his sister as she will be accused of sheltering a criminal, and her reputation will be compromised.

However, things become calm as Bradley’s lover, Laura Paterson, comes to the rescue and turns Hal’s mind.

7. About The Morning Show

The Morning Show (also known as Morning Wars in Australia and Indonesia) is an American drama streaming television series starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell, that premiered on Apple TV+ on November 1, 2019. The series is inspired by Brian Stelter’s book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.

Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson and Jennifer Aniston’s Alex are a newbie and a veteran morning show host, respectively, who are thrown together after Aniston’s former on-air partner (Steve Carell) is fired following a sexual harassment scandal.

Alex (Aniston) fights to retain her job as top news anchor while sparking a rivalry with Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon), a haphazard field reporter whose series of impulsive decisions brings her into a new world of television journalism.
