1. Does the Mallard Family Finally Reach Jamaica?

After a tumultuous journey, the family finally makes it to Jamaica. The unconventionally glowing water catches Mack’s eye, and he declares that they have finally arrived at their destination. The frustration from the never-ending journey fades into ultimate bliss as the family watches the picturesque mountains and splashes around in the water.

Delroy, who used to live in Jamaica, also confirms that they are in the right place!

2. Does Delroy Reunite with His Family?

The Mallard patriarch, Mack, frees Delroy from the nefarious clutches of the chef on the farm. Thereafter, he becomes an integral part of their migration as Delroy is a native of Jamaica and knows the route.

The film’s ending shows that Delroy is able to reach Jamaica, hale and hearty. Although not stated explicitly, we can assume that he reunites with his family and loved ones.

3. What happens to the Mallard family after the migration?

Migration doesn’t feature a post-credit scene, but the film features some still images showing the fate of the Mallard family after the migration.

The photos show the Mallard family doing philanthropic activities and helping other birds migrate. For instance, they assist a penguin family in navigating their way to the South Pole in spring.

4. Does Migration set up a sequel?

The fate of a sequel to Migration hangs in the air, and no announcements have been made at the time of writing.

However, the ending leaves ample room for further exploration in the form of spin-offs and sequels. The epilogue of Migration depicts the South Pole expedition with sufficient clarity, rendering a sequel that covers the same adventure redundant.

This implies that the sequel can shift to a new plot and feature new characters to join the Mallards. Moreover, it can also feature Dax and Gwen as rebellious adolescents who do something stupid, leading the family into chaos.

Another exciting plot idea is the backstory of Delroy and his family. The ‘prequel’ can cover Delroy’s life in Jamaica and how the chef trapped him. I mean, the possibilities are endless!

Got the rare talent to binge an entire show in a single sitting just like that. Although a sucker for psychological thrillers, no bias for any genre when it comes to a good story. A living proof that Netflix and chill is not a myth!
