Hogwarts Legacy side activity comes with a Ron Weasley reference

Hogwarts Legacy builds on the foundations laid by JK Rowling in Harry Potter and thereafter in the movies. The game is set many years prior to the movie.

Reddit user “Leon_Depisa” pointed out “Follow the Butterflies” side quest is a nod to Ron Weasley asking in the movie, “Why can’t it be ‘Follow the butterflies?” in “Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets”.

This side quest becomes available as soon as the players get through their first potions class in the Fourth Act of this well-designed game.

Clementine Willardsey in the Three Broomsticks provides the side-quest at Hogsmeade, and the player has to go through a casual “stroll” across the Forbidden Forest. Clementine will express her fear of the Forbidden Forest and asks the player to follow and report back.

The player can spot the butterflies bunched up right at the entrance of the Forbidden Forest, and whilst they can sometimes be hard to spot, they’re marked on the map constantly. This walk can be done without any spells as the butterflies’ routes are perfectly safe.

Most players were quick to admit that the reference passed them by. They congratulated the developing studio Avalanche Studios on tactfully hiding the reference and keeping the game true to its lore.

Such a thoughtful act on the part of the developers made all the players grin who always wanted to be a part of the Wizarding World. This game ends up being a world of its own than being mere fan service.

The entire game has an immersive and expansive open-world-like structure. The story follows a fifth-year student at Hogwarts, thwarting a plot by Dark Wizards and goblins.

Every day, more and more easter-eggs are being discovered that have been very thoughtfully hidden just out of plain sight by the developers, invoking nostalgia in true “Potterheads”.

About Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG from Avalanche Studio. The game places the player in the wizarding school of Hogwarts, allowing them to witness the iconic locations as a character other than Harry Potter.

The game has an expansive map that makes the game very immersive, even for people who are yet to read the books or watched the movie.

The mysterious, gripping storyline, with the vast areas to explored, either on foot or broomstick, makes it even more real life.
