Players have shown so much love to Elden Ring. It was IGN’s best game of 2022, winning multiple accolades, including the game of the year from DICE, New York Game Awards, and The Game awards.
Elden Ring developers FromSoftware have officially announced that Shadow Of Erdtree, an upcoming DLC expansion, is in development. This is the only other DLC besides the Colosseum Multiplayer update. The DLC is arriving across all platforms – PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
This would make Shadow of Erdtree the first single-player expansion pack for the critically acclaimed title. The announcement came in the form of a tweet by the Japanese developers and also by the official Elden Ring page.
No specific information as to the content of the DLC or date of release has been provided yet. However, new artwork featuring someone resembling Miquella of the Haligtree from Elden Ring lore has been released.
While some say that Miquella is atop Torrent, there are alternate suggestions that it might be Marika.
With the name and a single image shared, coupled with the game’s dense lore, it’s sure to fuel weeks of speculation until further confirmation from the developers comes around.
While it all remains speculation, players specializing in the lore will be scanning keen-eyed for any hints as to what the DLC might offer.
