Manufacturers leak card details ahead of Nvidia RTX 4070 launch date

Nvidia is set to release the GeForce RTX 4070, Ti and custom variants on 13th April 2023. The buildup to the day has been filled with leaks and lots of speculations. However, they can finally be put to rest now.

Some board partners for Nvidia, such as Asus, Gigabyte, Colorful, Zotac, and MSI, have leaked their cards based on the RTX 4070 SKU built on the Ada Lovelace architecture.

Asus was the first of the few to release the cards with one-of-it’s-kind “Dual GPU,” having been redesigned from the ground up for the new Ada architecture. It is set to be available in either black or white.

This is in addition to the plans for TUF Gaming GPU. It will ship with a standard 8-pin power connector.

Gigabyte has announced five new cards. What’s surprising is that out of all the big names in the list of partners, only Gigabyte offers exclusively three fans with no two fan options.

This would make the Aorus Master the largest RTX 4070 in the market, despite Gigabyte axing the onboard display. Other cards by Gigabyte are:

  1. Aero OC
  2. Eagle OC
  3. Windforce OC
  4. Gaming OC

The next manufacturer in line is the Chinese brand, Colorful. They have the top-of-the-line offering of a liquid-cooled card, the only one yet for the RTX 4070 series. The iGame Vulcan could also be the only 4070 with an onboard display.

The iGame Vulcan and Neptune will use 16-pin power connectors for that extra juice, while the BattleAx and iGame Ultra will feature standard connectors.

Moving on to Zotac, AMP and Trinity, they are shipping with 16-pin connectors in addition to the triple fans, whereas the Twin Edge series is shipping with the standard 8-pin power connector.

MSI’s lineup comes with no surprises other than the absence of the Suprim Series. The Gaming X and Suprim Cards have a 16-pin power connector, while the easy-on-the-pocket Ventus 3x and 2x come with 8-pin power connectors.
