Intel’s partner GUNNIR announces Arc A770 variant along with price-cuts

Nvidia and AMD GPUs have been discounted recently, dipping up to 15% of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. This includes powerful models like AMD’s Radeon RX 7900XT.

Intel wasn’t left far behind in this price-cut race. Intel has stirred up a storm after their recent releases of the Intel ARC GPUs, which provide excellent value for money for most use cases.

Recently, GUNNIR, Intel’s board partner, announced their new design, the GUNNIR Photon White, based on the Arc A770 GPU with 16 GB of VRAM. This is the best Alchemist GPU by Intel.

This latest GPU by GUNNIR is a white-color variant of their black Photon model with the same power and configuration. It features a triple fan design with the standard 8-pin x 2 power interface.

Featuring the stock A770 with no overclocking, it has 32 Xe Cores and 2400MHz of 16GB VRAM. The 2.5-slot design comes with the standard 9 cm fans.

The card is, however, the most expensive GUNNIR Arc GPU, coming at 2899 RMB, translating to USD 418.5 as of 27th April 2023. Arc GPU enthusiasts and lovers were given more reason to rejoice. GUNNIR also announced that they would lower the prices for the Arc Series.

The A380 GPUs will be lowered by a third, and the A770 prices will be reduced by 13%. However, it must be kept in mind that this isn’t the lowest price that the cards have reached.

This came in the form of a virtually free-of-cost upgrade from 8GB A770 to the 16GB variant when the prices of the 16GB were reduced to that of the 8GB variant.

The promotion is set to last until May 10th. With the limited production of the GeForce RTX 4070 after poor sales and the RTX 4060 and RX 7600 series coming to the market in the upcoming month, the prices might stay level to stay competitive.
