After the recent registrations of AMD’s cards by board partners ASRock and GIGABYTE for the Radeon RX 7600 8GB card with the EEC, ASUS has also come up with a teaser for a new card.
ASUS has recently teased a brand new Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics card on Facebook. They revealed that the card would be shown in the ROG Pulse Livestream on May 10th, 9 am EDT. They also announced that someone who guessed the correct chipset and card name would win the upcoming card.
The card is called a “TUF OG” and has a soldier in camo standing in front of a rugged barren land with the TUG GAMING logo on the backpack.
While no one knows what the card and its chipset will be, calculated guesses have been made, speculating the probable card.
Because the card is launching now, it will probably be based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, i.e., an Nvidia 40 series card. Also possible is the TUG Gaming branding on the card.
ASUS has numerous card designs bearing the TUF Gaming brand. This new variant has been named TUF OG, hinting that this is a new branding.
It is speculated to feature a camo design similar to the vest and uniform wore by the soldier in the picture. One user commented under the post that “the chipset is the AD106-350-A1, and the full card name is the ASUS TUF OG Gaming GeForce RTX 4060Ti 8GB GDDR6.”
This would be a reasonable guess, given that Nvidia is looking to release their RTX 4060Ti later this month. The announcement has something to do with the release of the card.
The cards are expected to be announced at the ROG Pulse Livestream event but will only be launched later. The release date may also align with the RTX 4060Ti launch date.
