New update for Diablo Immortal brings new content and Battle Pass

Developers of Diablo Immortal, Blizzard, have brought out a new update that will see the addition of a new game mode, balance changes, Battle Pass to Season 13, a new limited-time event, and a lot more.

As mentioned on Blizzard’s website, the update will include, the inclusion of a new Battle Pass, the Helliquary Gauntlet mode, Class Balance and Legendary Item adjustments, battleground Queue Cancellation penalty, and three limited-time events: The Scorched Sea, Shady Stock, and Fractured Plane. They have also included bug fixes with the upcoming update.

Developers have mentioned that they will be starting server maintenance on 9th May from 5 pm to 7 pm PDT for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe Servers and on 10th May from 1 am to 3 am for the Americas. After the maintenance, the update will go live.

The feature update includes the Helliquary Gauntlet that unlocks after defeating Catarag, The Strangling Sun, on Hell Difficulty VIII. Players can begin a Helliquary Gauntlet Raid as frequently as they like.

The upcoming Helliquary Gauntlet

Players landing a top 10 spot on the leaderboard for their server at the end of the week would be given a Voindwound Gauntlet Champion Avatar frame, usable through the Helliquary Gauntlet Season. If they maintain the top 10 spots at the seasons end, they will keep the Avatar Frame for good.

Helliquary Raids have been updated, incurring an increased cooldown on resurrection during a raid, and Helliquary bosses emitting a pulse on being enraged that scales in damage after each use.

They also mentioned in the blog that based on the feedback around one tower bonus, they have adjusted both the said tower and improved Cursed Shards gathering to balance Accused Towers better.

The Battleground queue cancellation penalty that was introduced in the previous content update has been iterated upon. The new penalty increases upon each offense with a max of 20 min penalty beyond which they won’t be able to queue.

The Knight’s Pentient that is coming to Season 13

Knights Penitent, a new Battle Pass that is devoted to “Sanctuary’s liberation from sin.” The Season 13 Battle Pass emerges on May 11 at 3 am server time. There are going to be 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, such as Legendary Gems, Crests, Hilts, and more.

The Battle Pass will last until June 8th at 2:59 am server time. Besides this, there are three new limited-time events, the first called the “Fractured Plane.”

In this, players don’t have access to the usual inventory but are given pre-selected skills for the class. This involves defeating the fiercest minions in a 15-floor gauntlet.

Shady Stock is another of the limited-time events where the players must run Daily Tasks for Yakin, such as clearing specific dungeons, identifying gear, and purchasing items from his standard inventory.

The third and last of the limited-time events is called the Scorched Sea. Completing three tasks gives one random Legendary Item, 5 gives three rare Crests, eight gives 1 Telluric Pearl, and on completing ten tasks, they get 1 Legendary Crest.

With the host of new changes coming to the game, the developers only provided a list of fixes that are updated on Tuesdays, but no new changes have been made in the upcoming update.
