Genshin Impact leakers are always one step ahead of the upcoming version. The roster has been leaked for version 4.0 along with upcoming characters.
The recent leak from reputed Genshin Impact leaker, Videre, has unveiled two upcoming weapons for version 4.0’s Fontaine region. The two weapons are similar, with a Claymore boasting a chainsaw-like blade and Polearm affixed with a drip at the tip.
In the leak, it was mentioned that these two new weapons could be acquired in-game without the need for Genshin Impact’s gacha system, which is a random draw from a chest/loot to unlock skins, characters and weapons.
Put simply; this means the players can craft the weapon by going to one of the in-game blacksmiths after acquiring the items needed for the recipe.
These inclusions mean that players are going to be spoilt for choice for weapons that don’t require players to spend money. This leaves the only available options as craftable weapons.

Fontaine version updates

As per the trend, Genshin developers Hoyoverse generally add one craftable weapon of each type per new region. The leaks have shown the new signature weapon for the five-star Bow character Lyney.
The gacha will also see new additions in the form of four-star weapons in the gacha pool. This is in keeping with the trend from the previous regions.
The release of version 4.0, which will introduce Fontaine, is over a month away. However, there has been much hype in the community surrounding the technologically advanced yet socially troubled region.
Some locations, like the fishing village in Fontaine, have been leaked as well. It’s one of the locations that the players will get to visit in the course of their exploits across Fontaine.
Fontaine will also follow a twin-major city design likened to Paris and London. This is a significant change from the tradition of having one major city per region.
Players are excited for such beautifully designed weapons and characters which they will get to try out starting 16th August. Fontaine, with its wilderness and aquatic-based gameplay, will be fun to explore once it releases in a little over a month.
