The Developers behind Diablo 4 have made sure that mistakes in the game do not go unnoticed or unpunished. The gameplay has been unforgiving, at the very least.
The 1.1.0 patch introduced the Season of the Malignant in Diablo IV. However, all the classes were nerfed heavily, leading to a woeful experience.
Blizzard Studios confirmed an upcoming patch, 1.1.1, in the Campfire Chat LiveStream to fix the issues caused by the 1.1.0 patch in Diablo IV. This patch will increase enemy density in Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. This patch will also include XP gain rebalancing across the Diablo IV. It will also include a new stash tab and increase the elixir stack to 99 to reduce clutter.
The developers addressed the frustrations of the players who faced a lot of difficulty in leveling characters up in the new season. Many players faced a survivability issue with the Sorcerer class as well.
The drastic changes caused a massive uproar in the community that was relatively happy with the direction the developers were taking Diablo IV in until the patch 1.1.0 mishap.
The developers acknowledged the mistakes and explained that Blizzard Studios will make sure that similar patches are not created in the future.

A hotfix release for July 21st was also mentioned in the same live stream that addresses the difficulty spike in the Nightmare Dungeons. This hotfix would tone down the Tier 100 runs to the scale of Tier 70.
The patch 1.1.1 will be released on July 28th, and the Campfire Chat Livestream discussed the upcoming patch in detail. To prevent future mishaps, the developers announced that they would release patch notes a week before the official launch.
This would allow the players to assess and raise complaints before release. This will also give them ample time to assess and craft new builds.
It is expected that Blizzard will address the bugs and glitches in Diablo IV soon, and the meta-rebalancing patches will be less frequent. However, it is good to see the developers listen to the community and release a patch quickly to address the issues.
