In the gaming community, most leaks are via developers working on the title, insider sources, and sometimes, data miners. However, some very unusual sources of leaks are sometimes noted, for example, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s plot being leaked via ESRB rating.

Recently, a Monster Energy drink collaboration leaked the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 logo and artwork. The packaging featured one of the most important characters from the Modern Warfare title Captain Price and the Modern Warfare III title.
The Modern Warfare III title has been styled in a fashion reminiscent of the Black Ops III title. Captain Price is shown to have a bloody red background with an eye visible behind him.
The can on the reverse side features Ghost, one of the most popular characters from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles.
On the packaging and the can, it has been mentioned that gamers purchasing these cans can get in-game rewards in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
In the leaked images, few of the in-game bonuses were visible. This includes a particular operator Skin, and a 2 XP bonus, amongst other unclear bonuses from the images.
Not much can be concluded from the images in particular. However, the shift from green to the blood-red theme for Modern Warfare III might indicate increased violence and destruction that can be expected in the game.
Some skeptical fans suggested that the leak was photoshopped and not actual. However, the official Call of Duty account soon followed up with a tweet that practically confirmed that the collaboration with Monster Energy was real.

The official launch date is yet to be confirmed for Modern Warfare III. However, the title is expected to drop sometime around the end of this year and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, and PC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s marketing campaign is expected to begin soon. Until then, players can catch up on the Modern Warfare storyline with the latest Modern Warfare II.
