The release date for Starfield, developed by Bethesda, is drawing closer. As the release date inches closer, developers Bethesda are releasing more lore and details from the vast and expansive universe that they have created.
In the Story So Far section of the official Starfield website, the critical events of Starfield are recounted from 2050 to 340544, with the highlight being that humans lived in space from 2100 onwards. However, the absence of a single mention of Earth has concerned fans about humanity’s future on Earth.
In the game, it is said that humans arrived on Mars for the first time in 2050. Key events include the establishment of the United Colonies in 2159, with the New Atlantis being founded in 2160.
Akila City was established in 2167, with the Freestar Collective formed in 2188.
The war timelines have been provided as well. The Narion War began in 2196 after a disagreement between the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective over the positioning of the Clinic Station that was found in the Narion Star System.
In 2216, a treaty is signed. This leads to the formation of the Constellation in 2275. Soon after, in 2307, Freestar sets up a new colony that breaks the Treaty of Narion.

This led to wars that are known as the Colony Wars. The fights end in 2311. In 340544, Constellation begins investing in the station “The Eye.” This brings up the events of 340546, in which Starfield will be set.
The apparent absence of any mention of Earth has astounded fans concerned about humanity’s future. Fans are concerned if Earth became uninhabitable or if humans went on a space quest.
However, a working theory is that the position and situation of the Earth in the game will be a significant spoiler. Hence it is avoided altogether in the storyline trailer. We will get to know soon with the release of Starfield imminent on 6th September 2023.
