Given Bethesda’s track record of buggy launches, fans were worried that Starfield – Bethesda’s first new IP in over 25 years – would also be buggy at launch, just like Redfall and Fallout 76.
Recently, it was reported by @starfieldbeyond that multiple versions have been pushed to Starfield’s gold master build to ensure that it is polished ahead of launch. Starfield is set to launch as v1.6.35.0, compared to other titles, which generally launch as v1.1.0.0.

Bethesda admitted that their previous titles, like Fallout 76, Redfall, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had bugs and glitches at launch. But things will be different with their upcoming title Starfield.
They have confirmed that Starfield will be their “least buggy game” at launch. Bethesda is looking to deliver on those promises.
Despite confirmation that Starfield has gone gold, i.e., reached the gold master stage in production, Bethesda is continually upgrading and polishing out minor blemishes that the players might encounter in-game at launch.

Many fans were also worried about a colossal day-one update size that could be anything from 50 GB to more than the game’s file size.
This concern is also justified, given Bethesda’s track record for Day One patches like when they dropped a patch for Fallout 76 on launch day, which was bigger than the game itself.
It must be kept in mind that a review code has been sent out to a select few media outlets. This means that the reviewers, as well as gamers, will have a smooth experience.
Over at Newegg, Starfield is currently retailing at USD 60 for the Standard Edition, and Premium is retailing at USD 90 instead of USD 100, using the code “SAVEXDPP.”
With such a dedicated group of developers at Bethesda, Starfield will genuinely be a game of galactic proportions, almost like “Skyrim in space,” as described by Director Todd Howard.
