Cyberpunk 2077 launched very buggy, crushing the fans’ hopes. Developers CD Projekt Red made amends quickly, with many updates, patches, and hotfixes, to make the game a truly immersive and enjoyable experience.
CD Projekt Red has announced that the upcoming significant expansion pack for Cyberpunk 2077 – The Phantom Liberty DLC, will weigh 32.93 GB for the PlayStation 5.
The Phantom Liberty DLC will be released on September 26th and will be a paid DLC. However, before the release, CDPR is giving the players a free Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update, which is as good as the DLC.
The Update 2.0 will include vehicle combat and car chases, a long-requested feature. There will also be a revamped police system that will feature merciless NCPD after they catch you.
The new police system will not be accepting any bribes or surrender. There will also be more engaging car chases and roadblocks to simulate a real-world police chase.
On top of all these changes, when Phantom Liberty DLC is stacked, it truly is a breath of fresh air for Cyberpunk 2077, which has been around for a while now.
The Phantom Liberty DLC will have revamped cyber-ware, a redesigned skill tree, a new radio station, an increase of V’s level cap to 60, new boss fights, side quests, and over 100 new items in-game.
CDPR’s lead scene programmer, Filip Pierściński, warned players ahead of the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC. He mentioned that the players should be wary that the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion could utilize up to 90% of modern 8-core CPUs.
Filip asked the gamers to ensure their cooling systems were on point, to ensure they didn’t face thermal throttling and get the best gameplay experience.
With its RT Overdrive mode, Cyberpunk was the first title to leverage the true power of the high-end Nvidia RTX cards. With the Phantom Liberty DLC, CDPR wants to reap the most from the hardware to ensure an unparalleled gaming experience.
