Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh processors confirmed at Innovation Event

Intel is going over and beyond at its Innovation Event. Recently, the Meteor Lake for Desktop was confirmed to launch in 2024.

At the Intel Innovation Event, Intel’s Technologist Craig Raymond showcased a workstation rig powered by the upcoming Raptor Lake Refresh series chip.

The desktop system created a “Meta-Human”, or virtual avatar of the person captured by cameras. The plug-in does this task for the Unreal Engine.

Raymond, pointing at the workstation, stated that this is the first time the “new generation” hardware is being showcased. He said this could be considered the “pre-launch” for the Raptor Lake Refresh.

A total of 12 seconds was dedicated to the launch of the 14th-Generation Core. Intel is focusing on Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake.

These two lineups will be focusing on their AI acceleration capabilities. Per previous rumors, the Raptor Lake Refresh is expected to comprise of six models.

This will include the top-of-the-line 24-core Intel Core i9-14900KF with a boost clock frequency of 6GHz. A 20-core Core i714700KF will also have a boost clock frequency of 5.6GHz.

A 14-core Core i5-14600KF model will have a slightly lower boost frequency of 5.3GHz. There will be other non-overclockable models with a TDP of 65W.

These products are expected to be present at the CES 2024. The sales of the 14th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processors are expected to start on October 17th.

These processors will have an unlocked multiplier and 125W TDP. These products are yet to be officially announced. Pricing and specifications are expected to be confirmed soon.
