The upcoming Call of Duty event will reveal details on the new Warzone map

Activision’s CODNext event is on October 5th at 9 AM PT. Fans are excited for the announcements regarding the future of the Call of Duty franchise, including the hotly anticipated Call of Duty Modern Warfare III releasing on November 10th.
Activision posted a teaser on Twitter ahead of the CODNext event on October 5th, showing an image of a port on a fairly wide canal that leads up to a city as a map for Call of Duty Warzone. They mentioned that a new map will be premiered along with live gameplay.

The gameplay reveal will be accompanied by a breakdown of the new game features in CoD: Warzone by Raven Software. Raven Software is an Activision subsidiary, co-developing CoD: Warzone alongside Infinity Ward.
While no other detail was shared regarding this map, fans spotted an uncanny resemblance to the original CoD: Warzone Verdansk map. The only difference is that the canal had water back in the day.
Fans are convinced that this is a hint that Verdansk is returning to CoD: Warzone soon. The cranes and the buildings in the background lead toward a new and revamped Verdansk.

Earlier, there was also some indication that Verdansk would be a part of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. However, it is confirmed that Verdansk will feature in one of the future seasons of Warzone.
As per the Tweet, Activision will also provide insight into the multiplayer and the zombie modes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Additionally, there will be a discussion on the new features and game details on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, along with a live gameplay reveal.
